Aim

Supporting persons with drug and/or alcohol problems, their families and others to help them live a stable life and to integrate better in society.

No administrative fees are incurred in applying for this service. However, foreigners residing in Malta need to have been paying tax and NI contributions for 12 consecutive months to benefit from this service. EU citizens residing in Malta who have not been contributing directly to the Maltese health care scheme, need a Certificate of Entitlement to receive free treatment. Otherwise, a nominal fee applies.
