Klabbsajf 2009 – Recruiting Young Volunteers
Monday, May 18, 2009
The Cottonera Community Services of Agenzija APPOGG, ACCESS Community Resource Centre in Vittoriosa, St. Margerita College and the Foundation for Educational Services are coordinating Klabbsajf – a project aimed to reach children aged between 5 and 11 years coming from Cottonera. Klabbsajf offers an alternative community activity to children during their summer holidays. Volunteers would be able to help in the planning and preparation of activities, caring of the children attending under the supervision of staff, and helping out during the various activities held. Sessions would include drama, sports, outings and crafts. All volunteers will receive the necessary training in planning and facilitation skills, team building and the necessary skills to deal with children. This will also help the volunteers to integrate together in teamwork and get relevant work experience.
Volunteers should be over 15 years. Those interested in being part of the Klabbsajf 2009 team of volunteers are encouraged to contact Mary Rose Gauci for further details on 2398 5110 during normal office hours. A copy of the application form can be downloaded from here and sent either by email on mary-rose.gauci@gov.mt or by post addressed to Klabbsajf, ACCESS Community Resource Centre, Triq San Dwardu, Birgu BRG 9030.
