Step into Wonderland at San Anton Gardens!

Step into Wonderland is the name of the next initiative being organized in aid of the Appogg Children’s Fund.

This activity, featuring Disney characters, will take place between 10.00am and 6:00pm at San Anton Gardens, Attard on Sunday 11th April. Various activities will be organized in the company of Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Darby, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Alice in Wonderland, Famous 5 and many others. Activities include a treasure hunt, cooking with Ratatouille, telling of tales, dancing, puppet shows, crafts, balloon modelling and shows on the hour amongst other activities.

Step into Wonderland in aid of Appogg Children’s Fund

This activity wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Once Upon a Time the main sponsors of Step into Wonderland.

During the launch of the event this morning at Agenzija Appogg in G’Mangia, Yvonne Mallia, Operations Director , Agenzija Appogg, commended this initiative while acknowledging and thanking the members of the Children’s Fund Fundraising Committee who, in their own free time, seek to improve the quality of life of children in need. Ms. Mallia thanked the main sponsor Once Upon a Time, and the other sponsors who, yet for another year, are showing their interest in the field and work wholeheartedly to support the Agency in its cause.

Roberta Agius, Director of Once Upon a Time, said that this is a family event where all children from every social strata and every age and background are welcome to enjoy themselves and participate in the activities targeted at different age groups. Apart from having fun, you would also be contributing to such a noble cause – to help other children in need. Children are encouraged to wear their favourite costumes for this event. It’s about time we “step into wonderland” all together.

Marija Zahra, Chairperson of the Appogg Children’s Fund Fundraising Committee, expressed her gratitude on behalf of Appogg Children's Fund for the support provided by the main sponsor Once Upon a Time who is sponsoring the main yearly event organized in aid of the Fund for the second consecutive year. Once Upon a Time invested all its resources in the organization of this event, thus being a source of motivation for the fundraising committee as well as confirming its commitment towards social corporate responsibility.

The Appogg Children’s Fund provides assistance in situations where children need material support immediately, for which their carers are unable to cater for. This is particularly so in situations where children require food, clothing, medication, uniforms, books, payment for a school outing or project, sportswear, visits to a medical consultant or any specialised treatment (medical or psychological).

The Children’s Fund Fundraising Committee would like to thank all volunteers and sponsors which are Say It, Outlook Coop, Face to Face Academy, JUGS, ITS. Special thanks go as well to ELC and the Dept of Agriculture for their support.

Tickets can be acquired at the door. Children under 3 years enter for free. Proceeds from this event will be utilised to meet the basic or special demands of the children who or whose family would be followed by FSWS services.

Bus route numbers 40, 80, 81 and 84 all stop very close to San Anton Gardens.
